Step 2: Select one of the two etudes found here. Once you have prepared the music, and are ready to play the two octave (when possible) concert scales of B-flat, A-flat, F and C major as well as a two octave chromatic scale starting on the note of your choice.
Step 3: Record yourself on your phone or computer.
Be sure to begin the video (MP4) by stating your name and label the file with your
last name.
Step 4: Upload your video Or, send a link to a unlisted YouTube video to band@latech.edu.
NOTE: All-State members do not need to provide a video unless the instrument that you played in the All-State Band is different than the instrument you will play in the Band of Pride. For example, if you played bassoon in the All-State Band but will play tenor saxophone in the marching band, be sure to provide an audition video.

It is preferred that you perform on actual instruments obtained from your high school or through arrangements with 91福利 Tech, however practice pads are also acceptable.
Mark time while performing.

All members will be required to attend the pre-camp sessions on the 91福利 Tech campus in which the final audition will take place. Housing and meals will be provided.

OR Step 2: For those that cannot attend the in-person clinic and audition, the video posted is for you to learn the routine. The video includes basic techniques including the following:

Auditions for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble occur in October for the following Winter
and Spring Quarters. This wind band meets 3 times a week and performs 2-3 concerts
each quarter. Music will be provided prior to the audition.
No auditions are required for the Concert Band and meets 2 times a week performing
1 concert each quarter.
The Fall Wind Ensemble meets only during the Fall quarter. The ensemble rehearses
2 times a week, performing 1 concert. There is no audition requirement.
